February 2017: AYC are delighted to welcome MACKENZIE-DAVID EVENTS as the club’s new caterers

Rebecca Mackenzie and Stephen David are the husband and wife team that head up and run Mackenzie-David events. Having catered throughout East Anglia for more than 3 decades the couple have been influential at some of the regions most renowned properties including Hintlesham hall, Milsom group, The Hoste arms and The Crown at Woodridge. For 12 years they owned and ran hugely respected Earsham St café, voted by The Times as one of their top ten places to eat in London and the south east for 6 occasions over 10 years.

The couple have run an events business, formerly Bespoke Events for TA Hotel collection over 15 years and have now branched out to run the business independently.

Often seen at some of the regions most stately addresses such as Holkham Hall, Kimberly Hall, Sennow Park and Wilderness Reserve, Rebecca, Steve and their team are equally at home in your kitchen and dining room cooking a family dinner or celebration or hosting pop up restaurant.

Clearly passionate about ingredients, provenance and food education, the couple headed up The North Suffolk Skills Academy Chef School, are co founders of The Woodbridge ‘Shuck’ festival and for 4 years Steve has been food columnist for The Suffolk magazine as well as a former chef of the year.

They live in Bungay and juggle their events business around their two children Madeline 14 and Sebastian 9. The couple are clearly excited to be back in Aldeburgh and look forward to welcoming you at AYC
