Construction: Clinker planked hull built using 9mm Robbins Elite marine ply and glued using West system expoxy. Laminated stem & keel. The deck is made of 6mm Robbins Elite marine ply .sheathed externallyin expoxy glass cloth and finished in white deck paint. There is a varnished Iroko coaming all round with a varnished sheer stake and small varnished rubbing strake.

Rig: Rigged as gunter yawl on hollow varnished keel stepped larch masts. Varnished wooden boom and gunter yard, plus a varnished bumpkin fo rthe mizzen. Stainless steel standing rigging with swaged eyes, with lanyards to external bronze chain plates. Single shroud each side, single forstay to the stem head and twin running backstays on the main mast. Mizzen mast is unstayed. Bronze mast fittings all round. Pin rail at the base of the mast to carrythe falls. Mainsail, mizzen and headsail all in red terylene and made by W B Lietch of Tarbet, all in very good condition.

Great family boat. Robelia - John Atkin design. Hand built by Euan Seel (Suffolk), wood cedar strip-plank skin, sheathed with a layer of khaya veneer, all over laminated with two layers of epoxy impregnated glass cloth. This is an immaculate boat, only two owners from new -1992. Dry stored every winter and maintained to an extremely high standard. Relatively low maintenance required. Cabin, two berth, toilet, cooker, sink, chartable and storage cupboards. Two covers, one of which covers the whole boom and cockpit.

Sails all immaculate x 3 with roller reef on one. Yanmar GM10 – inboard engine

LOCH LONG 6   "SCIROCCO"

Scirocco was built in 1937 by J Colquhoun of Dunoon and is one of the original 6 boats launched and raced on 12th May 1937 to celebrate the Coronation of King George VI. She is constructed from Oregon Pine, carvel built on elm frames and is in good condition having been substantially rebuilt in 2010 by the Peter Wilson boatyard in Aldeburgh, including being epoxied inside and out. Rig; Fractional Bermudan sloop rig, spruce mast. Halyards in good condition. Sails in good condition. She has the distinction of being the only Loch Long which has been holed by a torpedo which occurred July 3rd 1957 when the Royal Navy were indulging in torpedo practice while the LL fleet were racing. One of the torpedoes zig zagged across the Loch and holed Scirocco which was towed back to shore in a sinking condition. The

RN Repaired her and provided a brass plaque to commemorate her exploits,

which is still fixed to the boat.
