AYC has a great Bar, a clubhouse with the finest views in Suffolk, a great Galley and wide-ranging programme of events to ensure there is something that appeals to all ages and demands from our Members. This ranges from hearty sustenance for sailors and fabulous Sunday Roasts to fine dining for special occasions, along with a well-stocked Bar that sells everything from wines and beers to ice creams.
We are lucky to have some fantastic caterers who have been with the Club since 2017. Rebecca Mackenzie and Stephen David are the husband-and-wife partnership that make up Mackenzie David. Stephen has many acclaims as a Chef of the Year and achieved high ratings from Michelin, The Times and Sawday’s for the pubs and hotels that he has created across the county. He was Food Columnist for Suffolk Magazine for 10 years and continues to practice what he preaches and always sources his ingredients locally. He embraces seasonal cooking – the meat used is local and often rare breed and the vegetables have a low carbon mile footprint. Their experience brings the best of Suffolk to AYC.
We do ask that all Suppers and Sunday Roasts are pre-booked to help the caterers. The Galley is hugely flexible and does always try to accommodate a few extras but if Members can get into the habit of alerting the Galley of their plans, the kitchen can ensure there is plenty for everyone that has booked – and no food wasted either.

Saturday lunches before racing, and during July and August, when the Galley is open every day, you can turn up and enjoy a great range of hot and cold food at lunchtime.
