Junior and Youth Regatta Week

AYC Junior and Youth Regatta 2021

We are delighted to confirm that the 2021 AYC Junior and Youth Regatta will be taking place from Sunday 8th to Thursday 12th August.

After the restrictions of last year’s Race Week we are throwing off the shackles and have planned a full week of sailing and social activities; last year each class only had one race a day, this year we are back to morning and afternoons for all classes, although we are intending to stagger the morning starts to give the junior sailors the more peaceful dinghy park experience that proved so popular last year. There will be, as in pre-Covid years, a coached Regatta Fleet for those less confident, but please note this is not a training programme.

Prompt entries from the 19th would be immensely helpful, and those received after Aug 1st will receive a 15% surcharge.

There will be an exciting new and improved social calendar:

As always there will be prizes for best starts, best fancy dress, and the Boo Trophy will be voted for by the contestants and volunteers, and awarded to the person/people who best embody the spirit of the event.

We will as always be relying on the kindness of parents and members to fill the large number of volunteer roles on the Bridge, in the dinghy park, and on the water. Please sign up on the volunteer website, which will be activated from July 19th at https://aycvolunteers.ivolunteer.com.
