The Laser open at Aldeburgh was one of big sporting events happening on Sunday 11th July.
Light winds greeted the fleet which consisted of a range of visitors and locals in all rigs ensuring that their would be good racing for all.
With the light winds and strong tide, short tacking and roll tacks along the bank were the order of the day on a standard windward leeward course. This led to some very close racing throughout the fleet with many able to put into practice skills from the previous day's training which had similar conditions.
The wind built slightly throughout the day and the full four races were completed before sailing back in good time for the other sporting event of the day.
A special mention goes to William Pank who sailed extremely well often taking line honours ahead of the full size rigs even when only in a radial.
Many thanks to Robert Mulcahy for organising a great day on the water.
