Inspiring Supper with Jon Canter: Saturday 8th February
Thursday 16th January 2025
Bar opens at 18.00 and talk starts at 18.30. On 8th February, Jon Canter, scriptwriter, novelist and playwright will tell stories about success, disaster, encounters with celebrities, and the influence of Aldeburgh (where he’s lived since 1993) on his comedy. The menu is confit of duck, followed by rhubarb crumble. Please book via office@aldeburghyc.org.uk and notify any dietary requirements when booking, along with payment - £17.50 per head for members and £21 for non-members.

Curry Lunch: Sunday 2nd February

The Curry Lunch falls on Sunday 2nd February this year. Please book in if you plan to come by emailing office@aldeburghyc.org.uk. It's £22 per head, please make payment in advance when you book.

Coffee Mornings
Thursday 16th January 2025
Coffee mornings began again last week and will run every Thursday morning at 10:30am.
A small donation is asked for to go towards the coffee and biscuits and any remaining funds are donated to AYC Schools Sailing Trust, BIGKID and the Woolverstone Project.
Everyone is welcome.

Burns Night: Saturday 25th January (practice on Friday 17th January)

The annual Burns Night celebration will be held on Saturday 25th January. This year it actually falls on the correct night, 25th Jan, and we will follow our usual format of canapes, haggis (piped in and addressed), speeches and dancing. For those who are uncertain about the dances we will be running a practice session the week before on Fri 17th, 6pm to 8pm, to refresh your memories.
Please let Tom Stevens know if you would like to come tom.stevens245@gmail.com, so we have an idea of numbers. The price will remain at £30 per head and payment details will be provided nearer the time.
