Private Events at AYC

Do you have a family celebration approaching?

Mackenzie David creates private events and specialise in special occasions.  Stephen David and Rebecca Mackenzie are the husband-and-wife partnership that make up Mackenzie David.  Stephen has many acclaims as a Chef of the Year and achieved high ratings from Michelin, The Times and Sawday’s for the pubs and hotels that he has created across the county. He was Food Columnist for Suffolk Magazine for 10 years and continues to practice what he preaches and always sources his ingredients locally.  He embraces seasonal cooking – the meat used is local and often rare breed and the vegetables have a low carbon mile footprint. Their experience brings the best of Suffolk to AYC.

AYC has hosted some spectacular weddings, lovely wakes, christenings and parties for every age group. 

• The Chart Room is a fabulous space for private dining and can be set up with exclusive use of the balcony for groups of up to 14 people. 
• The Club Room and River Room is a great winter space for a dinner, party or wedding – for groups of 50-80ish.
• The Marquee is up for the summer months and there are a few dates that this can be hired for private occasions – accommodating circa 200 including the Club house. 
• Although we cannot guarantee a clear evening, AYC offers a fabulous location and faces west to enjoy amazing sunsets.

If you would like to host your occasion at AYC, you will also need to contact the Club Manager – clubmanager@aldeburghyc.org.uk to check dates that the club facilities are available and the cost of hiring the space.  Special discounted rates for hire are offered to Members.
